Credit Universe (credituniverse.in) helps you find credit cards that fit your profile. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- When you take the card quiz: your name, mobile number, income type (salaried, business or stay at home), monthly income range and credit score range.
- When you use the “Not sure which card?” form: your mobile number.
- If you arrived through a partner’s link: that partner’s referral code.
- When you tap Apply Now: which card you chose and the page you were on.
We never ask for your PAN, Aadhaar, bank account details, card numbers, OTPs or documents. If anyone claiming to be from Credit Universe asks for these, do not share them.
Why we collect it
- To show you the cards that match your income and credit profile.
- To contact you on WhatsApp or phone about card options, only if you tick the consent box.
- To understand which cards and which partners are helping people, so we can improve our recommendations.
Your consent
We contact you only if you agree by ticking the consent box. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP to any of our WhatsApp messages or by writing to us at the address below. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.
Applying for a card
When you tap Apply Now you leave Credit Universe and go to the bank’s or card partner’s own website. Your application, including any documents, goes directly to them under their own privacy policy. Approval is always the bank’s decision.
How we earn money
We may earn a commission from banks or affiliate partners when you are approved for a card, at no cost to you. It never changes the order in which our quiz recommends cards: they are ranked by how well they fit your profile.
Where your data is stored and who sees it
Your responses are stored in Google Workspace (Google Sheets), managed by Credit Universe, and are seen only by the Credit Universe team. We do not sell your data and we do not share your details with banks. Service providers such as Google process it on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep quiz and contact details for up to 12 months after your last interaction with us, and then delete them.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or have it erased, and you can raise a grievance with us. Write to us at the address below and we will respond promptly.
Cookies and your browser
We do not use advertising cookies. The site keeps two small items in your browser so it works properly: a partner’s referral code if you arrived through a partner link (kept for 30 days), and a copy of our card list so pages load quickly.
Children
Credit cards are for adults, and this service is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
